This feature supplies light for loading the furnace in the dark winter evenings and also acts as an indicator to tell you that your furnace switch is on. The Ranco ETC is microprocessor-based family of temperature controls designed to provide on/off control for commercial heating, cooling, air conditioning and refrigeration applications. With its wide temperature range, one and two stage capability, selectable heating/cooling modes and multi-voltage input, the ETC is one of the most versatile temperatures controls available.
HEATSOURCE 1 has a 24" x 24" loading door so it can accept very large pieces of unsplit wood to give you the longest, most efficient burn. HEATSOURCE 1 circulates water through the 2" thick inner door. This prevents the door from overheating, preventing it from warping or cracking. This also maximizes the amount of water available in the system and greatly increases the surface heating area.
HEATSOURCE 1's exclusive cam latch on the water cooled door always allows for a secure seal to create the greatest efficiency of the outdoor wood furnace. This door has a fiberglass rope seal to give you years of trouble free service. We have also installed a secondary safety latch in the event of the operator opening the door too fast, it allows air to enter the fire box to help prevent a flash back situation. As with any wood stove, it is very important to open the door very slowly to allow the fire time to breathe
HEATSOURCE 1 is equipped with a blower that is controlled by a solid state electronic thermostat that regulates water temperature by providing the proper air for efficient burning. When heat is used off the water and the water temperature drops, the thermostat kicks on the blower, blowing air directly onto the fire. When the water gets up to the designated temperature, the thermostat shuts off the blower so your firebox is virtually air tight and brings your fire back to a bed of coals.
HEATSOURCE 1 is built with fork lift channels and overhead lifting eyes for easy handling and installation. This allows you to unload or move your furnace with a forklift, farm tractor or other type of overhead lift. One of the main goals of HEATSOURCE 1 was to make your furnace as convenient as possible.
The cast iron grates are built extra heavy from a high grade of iron to give you years of service. The cast iron allows for the constant heat without weakening. The gravel insulated base provides you with a furnace that will never burn out; unlike most furnaces that burn directly on the bottom.
HEATSOURCE 1 is built with an auger system that makes it easy to clean out the ashes. Since HEATSOURCE 1 uses a forced air draft, all the wood is burnt to a fine powder. Every 2-3 weeks, simply rake the ashes to the center of the grates; insert the auger in the back of the furnace and turn the auger removing the ashes from the furnace. This allows you to keep all the mess from cleaning the furnace to the back, rather than the front of the furnace where you load the wood. Stainless Steel Water Chamber HEATSOURCE 1 stainless steel water chamber surrounds the firebox, producing the maximum hot water available from your fire. The water chamber is built of heavy 10 gauge stainless steel 409 grade. Grade 409 stainless steel is especially formulated to accept the expansion and contraction of a heating system without cracking. This type of stainless steel to be used on a wood fired furnace there was clearly only one choice - 409. While some furnace manufacturers boast 304 stainless steel, this type of has great surface appearance for restaurants and hospitals, and is much more expensive, but it is not the best product for a wood furnace as it will crack; it cannot take the expansion from the heat. After welding and fabricating with stainless steel for 28 years, we know stainless and we know the characteristics of that stainless. Water Expansion Tower HEATSOURCE 1 uses an expansion tower that surrounds the exhaust stack. With this design, we are able to extract the greatest amount of heat off the exhaust. A simple Float System monitors the water level. |
